On 8-9 December 2025, Jungwan participated in the M2i conference in Papendal, Arnhem, the Netherlands. He had a poster presentation showing copper distribution in ferrite and pearlite in steel with intensive scientific questions and discussions.
On 28-29 November 2025, our team participated in a synchrotron campaign at the P02.1 beamline of DESY in Hamburg, Germany. After an intensive 24-hour beamtime session, we took the opportunity to enjoy the Christmas Market in the city center of Hamburg. Prof. Xu Lu from NTNU (for a different synchrotron campaign at DESY) also joined us in the Christmas Market. 🎄
From 17 to 21 November 2025, Yan attended the 8th International Conference on Advanced Steels in Shanghai, where he delivered an invited talk on hydrogen metallurgy. Also, Yan was invited by Prof. Dayong An to give a talk at Jiaotong University and by Prof. Jian Xu to deliver a Galen Invited Lecture at Chongqing University. It was a highly productive week filled with intensive scientific exchanges and discussions.
On 11 November 2025, Yan and Jungwan attended the GGS consortium annual meeting in Ede, the Netherlands. In Jungwan’s first attendance at the consortium meeting, he delivered a pitch on the impact of impurity effects on austenite decomposition into ferrite and pearlite. Several colleagues showed interest in his research, leading to productive follow-up discussions!
